Mark 4 — Calming the Storm on the Sea of Galilee

Mark 4

Dramatic handheld shot from the stern of a wooden fishing boat pitching on dark choppy water at night, rain lashing sideways and spray bursting over the gunwale. Camera is low, near the wet deck planks, shaking with the swell, looking forward past terrified men in soaked tunics gripping ropes and oars. Lightning strobes reveal towering wave crests and a black sky. A robed figure stands at the bow, unbothered, and raises one hand; the camera pushes forward along the deck through flying spray as the wind audibly drops and the water flattens to glassy calm. Final beat: camera settles on the men's stunned faces lit by a break in the clouds, wet hair plastered down. 16:9, high dynamic range, deep focus, motion blur on spray.
