Mark 14 — Anointing at Bethany

Mark 14

Intimate slow-dolly shot inside a lamplit dining room: low couches, a spread table with flatbread, olives, and clay cups, warm oil lamps casting flickering amber light on plaster walls. Camera moves at seated eye level past the reclining guests toward a woman in a deep-red dress who kneels behind a seated teacher and breaks open an alabaster jar. Thick fragrant oil pours over his head, glistening and running down his hair and collar. Guests recoil, one gesturing angrily; the woman keeps her eyes down, hands trembling. Camera circles slowly to frame her face and his calm expression together, lamp flames reflected in the oil, and ends on a tight hold as she wipes his feet with her hair.
