The Feeding of the Five Thousand

Cinematic 16:9 shot on a wide grassy plain beside the Sea of Galilee at late afternoon. Thousands of people sit in ordered groups across the hillside as a boy hands Jesus a small basket of five loaves and two fish. Camera begins as a high aerial shot sweeping over the vast seated crowd, then descends in a smooth arc to a close medium shot of Jesus' hands breaking the bread. Warm golden light, long shadows, dust in the air. Composition moves from the immense crowd to the intimate center. Jesus lifts the broken loaf upward. Ends on the basket overflowing as disciples begin to distribute food.
