Mark 10 — Blind Bartimaeus at the Jericho Road

Mark 10

Roadside medium shot on a dusty pilgrim road outside Jericho, palms and dry scrub on either side, a blind man in a patched cloak sitting at the edge of the track with a wooden bowl. Camera starts on his sightless eyes in close-up, then pulls back and rises to a medium-wide as a crowd of travelers streams past, kicking up dust, some shoving him back. He shouts and throws off his cloak, scrambling to his feet. Camera tracks right alongside him as he stumbles toward the road center where a robed figure has stopped and turned. Final beat: the two stand face to face, dust settling, the crowd halted and watching. 16:9, harsh midday sun, deep focus, warm dust haze.
