The Trial Before Pilate

Cinematic 16:9 shot, 6 seconds. Interior of the praetorium in Jerusalem, morning. Pontius Pilate, in a white toga, sits on a judgment seat, washing his hands in a golden basin. Jesus stands bound before him, wearing a purple robe and a crown of thorns. Camera is positioned behind Pilate, looking over his shoulder at Jesus, then slowly tracks around to a medium close-up of Jesus' face. The lighting is cold and stark, with shadows from the columns. The shot ends with Pilate gesturing to the crowd, who shout for crucifixion.
