The Visit of the Magi

Cinematic 16:9 shot, 6 seconds. Exterior of a simple house in Bethlehem, twilight. Three wise men in rich, exotic robes (Persian and Babylonian styles) dismount from camels and present gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to the young child Jesus on Mary's lap. Camera is positioned at a low angle behind the Magi, looking up at the family, then slowly tracks forward and rises to a medium shot as the first Magus kneels. The sky is deep indigo with the Star of Bethlehem shining brightly above the house. Lighting is a mix of cool twilight and warm lantern light from the house. The shot ends with the child reaching toward the gold.
