Mark 15 — The Temple Veil

Mark 15

Dramatic interior wide shot inside the Temple at the moment of darkness: towering stone columns, a massive woven veil hanging floor to ceiling, oil lamps guttering low. Camera is positioned at the back of the court, slowly pushing forward through drifting incense smoke toward the veil. The ground trembles faintly; dust sifts from the ceiling. The veil tears from top to bottom with a heavy ripping motion, fabric falling in long folds, revealing a dim inner chamber beyond. Camera continues its slow advance as lamps flicker out one by one, and the shot ends on the torn fabric swaying gently in the sudden stillness.
