The Healing of the Paralytic

Cinematic 16:9 shot inside a crowded Galilean house with a mud-brick roof. Four men lower a paralyzed friend on a woven mat through a hole they have broken in the ceiling. Camera starts looking straight up through the opening from inside the room, then tilts down and pulls back to reveal the dense crowd and Jesus at center. Dust and straw sift down through the shaft of daylight from the hole. Warm interior lamplight mixes with the bright beam from above. Composition frames the descending mat in the center as onlookers press back. The mat touches the floor; Jesus steps forward and extends his hand. Ends on the paralyzed man's fingers twitching.
