Mark 15 — Trial Before Pilate

Mark 15

Formal wide shot in a stone Roman judgment hall at harsh midday: tall columns, a raised mosaic platform, guards in segmented armor standing at attention with spears. Camera is positioned behind the accused, slowly craning up and around to reveal his bound wrists and then the governor seated on a curule chair, one hand raised in exasperation, a crowd shouting at the edges of the hall. Sunlight pours through a high window, cutting a bright blade of light across the floor between them. Camera arcs to a medium two-shot, holding as the governor gestures toward a basin of water and washes his hands, droplets catching the light, the crowd noise implied by their surging movement.
