Mark 5 — The Gerasene Demoniac Among the Tombs

Mark 5

Slow tracking shot at dusk through a rocky hillside cemetery of carved limestone cave tombs, dry scrub and broken chains lying in the dirt. Camera glides at chest height from behind a wild-haired, bare-chested man in torn cloth who crouches among the rocks, then arcs around to his front as he rises and stumbles forward, arms hanging loose. Long blue shadows stretch across the ground; a herd of pigs grazes on a distant slope. The man's head snaps up as a robed figure approaches from the right edge of frame. Camera comes to rest in a medium two-shot, the tomb entrances dark behind them, the last light rimming their shoulders. 16:9, cool twilight grade, shallow depth of field.
