Mark 9 — The Transfiguration

Mark 9

Awe-struck low-angle wide shot on a high mountain summit at dusk. Camera is positioned near the ground behind three terrified men who have fallen backward onto the rocks, robes clutched to their faces. Ahead, a figure stands on a rise, his garments blazing brilliant white, brighter than any fabric should be, light spilling outward in soft rays. Two other luminous figures flank him in the haze. Clouds swirl low around the peak; wind tears at the men's cloaks. Camera slowly tilts upward from the cowering trio to the radiant figure, then drifts sideways as a bright cloud rolls across the summit and the light intensifies until the frame nearly whites out, holding on the men shielding their eyes.
