Mark 14 — Agony in Gethsemane

Mark 14

Slow creeping dolly shot through gnarled olive trees at night, pale moonlight filtering through silver leaves onto rocky ground. Camera is low, near the roots, pushing forward through the trunks toward a clearing where a robed figure kneels face-down on the earth, hands gripping the soil. Sweat beads and falls from his brow onto the stone. In the background, three men lie asleep wrapped in cloaks, out of focus. Camera circles slowly to his front and rises to eye level as he lifts his head, expression anguished, and speaks upward. Final beat: hold on his upturned face, moonlit, breath visible in the cool air. 16:9, cool blue-green grade, deep focus on trees, shallow on the face.
