John 8: The Woman Caught in Adultery

John 8

Cinematic 16:9 shot, 6 seconds. The Temple courtyard in Jerusalem, with scribes and Pharisees surrounding a woman kneeling on the stone floor. Jesus stands before them, writing in the dust with his finger. The camera is at a low angle, focusing on Jesus's hand writing, then tilts up to his face as he speaks. The camera then pans to the accusers, who one by one drop their stones and walk away. The shot ends with Jesus alone with the woman, extending his hand to help her up, the morning light streaming through the colonnades.
