The Crucifixion

Mathayo

Cinematic 16:9 shot, 6 seconds. Exterior of Golgotha, midday but dark clouds cover the sky. Jesus hangs on a wooden cross between two thieves. Mary, his mother, and John stand weeping at the foot of the cross. Camera starts on a close-up of Jesus' nailed feet, then slowly tilts up and pulls back to a wide shot of the three crosses against the darkened sky. Lightning flashes in the distance. The shot ends with Jesus bowing his head and saying, 'It is finished.'
