The Temptation in the Wilderness

Cinematic 16:9 shot on a jagged rocky plateau in the Judean desert at harsh noon. Jesus sits alone on a boulder, gaunt and sun-scorched, head bowed. Camera begins as an extreme wide shot from a high cliff edge looking down, then slowly zooms in across the barren expanse to a medium shot of his figure. Bleached white limestone, cracked earth, no vegetation. A dark-robed figure is barely visible as a shadow at the far edge of frame, suggesting a presence without showing a face. Heat haze distorts the horizon. Jesus lifts his head and speaks quietly to the emptiness. Ends on his steady, unbroken gaze into the distance.
