Joseph, a weathered man in a rough linen tunic, kneels beside a half-finished wooden yoke, his hands frozen mid-plane. An angel of the Lord appears as a column of soft, warm light in the doorway, indistinct wings suggested by shadow. Camera starts at a low angle, close to the wood shavings on the floor, then slowly cranes upward and tilts to reveal Joseph's awe-struck face and the glowing figure.
