No Partiality with God

A first-century Roman courthouse steps at midday: a wealthy patrician in a white toga and a ragged foreigner in a coarse wool cloak stand side by side before a seated magistrate. The camera starts as a low-angle wide shot from the bottom of the steps, looking up at the three figures against a bright sky, then cranes upward and tilts down to a medium two-shot of the patrician and the foreigner exchanging a glance. The magistrate raises one hand, and the camera tracks right to settle on a close-up of his impartial face, shadowed by the colonnade. Dust motes drift in the hard sunlight. The camera ends on the foreigner's small, hopeful nod. Cinematic, high-contrast daylight, 16:9.
