ABOUT THE LIBRARY

About Free Bible Media

Free Bible Media is an independent, human-curated library of cinematic Bible scene footage and images at freebiblemedia.com. Download media for church services, teaching, Bible study and your own original creative projects.

An independent library of Bible scenes

Our footage depicts Bible stories, people and events. You can browse by book, chapter or scene, preview individual clips, and download files to use in your own work. The image library also includes Bible story illustrations, wallpapers, verse posters and printable coloring pages.

Free Bible Media is independently operated. It is not a YouVersion or Bible.com portal and is not affiliated with the LUMO Project or The Chosen.

The library includes AI-generated cinematic depictions and illustrations, reviewed by a human curator before publication. These are creative interpretations of biblical scenes, not historical recordings. Read the passage alongside the media and choose scenes appropriate to your audience.

Free downloads: common questions

Is this free to download, or only free to watch?

Both previews and downloads are free. Open a media item and choose an available download format to save the file. Downloads have no watermark. There is no purchase, subscription, credit card or donation requirement.

Does “royalty-free” always mean a free download?

Here, “free” means the downloadable file costs $0. “Royalty-free” describes a license arrangement and does not, by itself, mean a file has no purchase price. Our library does not require a paid stock subscription or credit pack.

Can I edit the footage into my own videos?

Yes. The Free Bible Media License permits editing and incorporating the files into ministry, educational and larger original creative productions, including monetized productions. Attribution is welcome but not required. You may not sell the source clips, paid clip bundles or stock-library access, or redistribute them through a competing media library.

Do I need an account?

Most media can be previewed and downloaded anonymously. The first download asks you to accept the free license once, without an account, payment or email address. Intense scenes require free adult sign-in and a content-warning acknowledgement. Read about content gating.

Why are donations optional?

We want people to use these resources regardless of their budget. Voluntary support helps pay for the people, hosting and outreach that keep the library available. Donating does not unlock footage or change your download rights. See how support is used. This is a privately operated project; contributions are not tax-deductible charitable donations.

Website language and media language

The website has 30 language choices, with English fallback for content that has not yet been translated. Changing the page language translates available navigation and descriptions; it does not change words inside a poster or create a translated video.

Each image page identifies the language of its artwork text when this is recorded, and displays the recorded wording as readable text. “No embedded text” identifies artwork cataloged without lettering. “Not recorded” means the language has not been cataloged; preview the image before downloading.

If you need a Spanish verse poster, check the language of the artwork itself. A Spanish page title alone does not mean the download contains Spanish lettering. Text-free artwork can be used in projects with your own language and captions under the free license.

Why some scenes require sign-in

The Bible includes difficult subjects. When stories about Satan, Hell, judgment, or Revelation are shown in live action, the imagery can feel much more intense than words on a page. Some depictions may frighten younger children.

Footage from our Satan, Hell, and Revelation collections carries a gated tag. Approved gated scenes are included in the library only after adult sign-in and acknowledgement of the content warning. Their previews, images, and downloads stay protected. They never appear in the homepage hero or children’s collection.

Some imagery may frighten or traumatize children. Minors should use this site without logging in. Adults aged 18 or older can sign in with Google or email, acknowledge the warning, and view or download gated media completely free. There is no fee, subscription, or donation required. Most of the library remains accessible without an account.

The adult acknowledgement is self-declared and does not verify age. Parents, teachers, and church leaders should preview media and choose what is appropriate for the children in their care. Incoming footage stays hidden until curator approval, even if it already has a gated tag.

Free ministry, educational and creative use

Use and distribute these clips freely for educational purposes, including church services, Sunday school, Bible study, classrooms, presentations, newsletters, and educational social posts. Downloads have no watermark, and no payment is required.

Reselling the clips for profit or offering them through a competing stock-media website or library is prohibited. Do not sell individual clips, paid clip bundles, or stock-library access containing these files.

The Free Bible Media License allows free ministry, educational and original creative use, without required attribution. You may share files for ministry or education and incorporate them into a larger original production; selling the source clips or rebuilding a competing media library is prohibited. We reserve the right to pursue appropriate legal remedies for prohibited resale or redistribution.

On your first download, you agree once to the license. No account, payment or email address is required. An anonymous cookie remembers your choice, and a private server receipt records the license version and acceptance time. Short-lived links and brief burst limits discourage automated bulk downloading. Previewing and normal browsing stay open.

The library includes AI-generated imagery. Copyright claims apply only to copyrightable human contributions, such as the website, editorial work and creative selection or arrangement; we do not claim that every raw AI-generated clip has exclusive copyright protection.

How we count visitors

The number beside the search heading estimates anonymous browsers that have visited since September 28, 2026. Reloading or changing languages counts once. Other devices or clearing browser cookies and storage can count again; browsers without JavaScript and known automated crawlers are not counted. This is not a verified count of people, Christians or churches.

A random first-party browser ID is remembered locally and in a secure cookie for one year. Only an anonymous hash is retained privately to keep the cumulative total accurate. We do not record names, email addresses, religion, church membership, IP addresses, referrers or browsing history in this counter, and we use no third-party analytics. The visitor caption's language total reflects the enabled language choices; missing content translations may use English fallback.

Why the library is free · optional support

We rely on voluntary donations to support the people who create and maintain the library, cover hosting, and help more churches discover these free resources.
